I am now semi-retired having spent my career in the hospitality trade, working in the Midlands with homes in Blackfordby and for the past 12 years in Ticknall with my wife Sandra, who is 'a Ticknall Girl through and through'.

As you are aware Ticknall is a lively village with its Clubs, Societies, Pubs, Churches, Village Hall and School. Work has limited my contribution in the past, but I am now free to join in a lot more. We are very lucky to live in such an environment, and part of my focus will be to maintain what we have, and encourage more participation from residents. In the future, apart from maintaining what we have, I would like to assist in moving the village forward for current residents and those that are still to arrive.
