My wife and I first came to the village in 1986 where we ran the Village Store and Post Office. During this period I first served on the Parish Council for 10 years from 1989.

I stepped down in 1999 due to work commitments but when I retired I felt able to sit on the council again. First elected in 2015, again in 2019, I was elected again at the recent 2023 Parish Council elections.

I am the treasurer and trustee of the Village Hall, enjoy bellringing and quizzes and can be seen mowing the churchyard or walking our dog Oscar through our village, listening and talking to our residents. Mostly I really enjoy and appreciate this village that we are fortunate to call home.
